Day 982: Situation on Chasov Yar front: The Russian army drops leaflets from the air to the Ukrainian army positions for surrender in the forest near the water canal and the Novi district (48°34’41.6 ‘N 37°51’34.0 ’E), where there are a number of bunkers essential to the defence of the town. The images are reminiscent of the Battle of Avdivka before the Russian assault on the town began. In November, Russian forces are expected to intensify their operations to capture Chasov Yar as they did in Avdivka about a year ago.
