Tōru Takemitsu's “A Piece for Guitar,“ was composed in 1991 for the 60th birthday celebration of Italian composer (and friend of Takemitsu) Sylvano Bussotti. It is a very short composition, but well represents his many musical influences and is a great introduction to the many wonderful works he wrote for guitar.
