London. Several shots show children playing on large fibreglass shapes on a London roof. Commentator tells us the 'play furniture' was made by young designer Keith Albarn for mentally handicapped children. Adults supervise the children as they sit in padded tubs and climb through plastic tubes and tunnels; other children play with plastic and wooden toys. This is a trying-out session for the toys; commentator says reactions are noted before modifications are carried out. Note: Despite the title, this story does not show any scenic shots of London! Notes on file say the toys were designed for Autistic children, but are here being tried out by 'ordinary school children'. Cuts exist - see separate record. FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ.
