Please pray for the San Antonio police officer who was shot in the line of duty last night. According to Police Chief William McManus, the incident began around 3:15 a.m. as a domestic disturbance call in the 1300 block of Patricia Drive. Officers arrived to find a female victim who had been assaulted by her boyfriend. McManus says when officers entered the suspect’s apartment, he was found in bed with a rifle by his side. The suspect opened fire on officers, striking one officer multiple times. Officers returned fire, Three officers were involved in the shooting, all with less than three years on the force. The wounded officer was transported to a local hospital for surgery. Police are investigating whether the suspect died by suicide or from officers’ gunfire. Source: Police frequency
