While being freshly bandless, Skyler was on the hunt for new members to create the ideal powerhouse thrash band. While stumbling across a Kijiji ad, Skyler found Nolan Benedetti that recently moved from Penticton to start drumming in Calgary. Long term friend Brody Cullen was then invited into the band to shred guitar and belch some vocals. Arriving into Calgary with a bunch of weed and beers Skyler and Brody instantly bonded and shared the mutual eagerness to rip thrashy riffs and break necks. The same year Jake Wendt quit his band to lay down the low end and finalized the 4 piece line-up to create what WMD is today. Rippin' Canadian Thrashers determined to ignite the stage and command the night! Behold. Riffs of fury and lethal precision brought are best known for their hectic stage presence and blistering,neck destroying riffs, piercing screams, melodic solo's & they love to party, the chemistry within is one of the defining qualities of their unique style.
