#animalsounds no. 7 A few days ago I shared a story of recording a Daubenton's Bat along the Spree river in Berlin so here's what the bat looks and sounds like. . Daubenton's Bats (Myotis daubentonii), are tiny bats with comparatively large feet. They primarily use their feet to trawl the surface of water and hunt water-borne insects (like midges) - much like a Fish Eagle fishing! These calls - downscaled using heterodyning (check previous posts for details) - sound like the pattering of rain.
