They are land transport, air transport and water transport. Land transport Means of transport that move on land only are called land transport. As land transport is cheaper, it is the most common means of transporting people and goods from one place to another. Water Transport Means of transport that move only on water are called water transport. Water travel is slow as compared to land and air travel. Ships are used for travelling short distances and to transport huge quantities of goods to far away places. Example of water transport are boat, steamer and ship. Use of animals for transport Bullock Cart Bullock Cart In older days, animals were used as a means of transport.
