This happened almost by chance while having a performance in Norway's Hardanger fjord, went by Torgeir's lovely studio just outside Nordheimsund testing out some mikes and Torgeir's awesome recording hardware in his very well planned studio overlooking the fjords and mountains, well, the setting needed something from the era of Norwegian romantic nationalism, so here is my minimalist arrangement of the beloved “A Herdgirl's Sunday“, enjoy. We have another of Ole Bull's gems coming up shortly, so please stay tuned. Wiki: Ole Bornemann Bull, 1810-1880, a Norwegian virtuoso violinist and composer. According to Robert Schumann, he was on a level with Niccolò Paganini for the speed and clarity of his playing. Look him up, he was quite the character, founding a US city, no less. :-D Images are my own from my beautiful “backyard“ Mount Fløyen, Bergen, Norway Warm regards, Tor
