Canada deploying special forces to Ukraine as tensions with Russia escalate

As tension rises over an estimated 100,000 Russian troops amassing near Ukraine’s border, Global News has learned Canada is now sending a small group of special forces to Ukraine. The small group of elite Canadian soldiers are reportedly in Ukraine to look at options to support the Ukranian government, as well as pre-planning for a possible evacuation of Canadian diplomatic personnel if necessary. Sources tell Global News the deployment is also part of an attempt by NATO to deter Russian aggression in Ukraine. Mike Le Couteur reports.
