Long before the LASSIE TV series, June Lockhart appeared in 1945's SON OF LASSIE. She played the Elizabeth Taylor character from LASSIE, COME HOME. This clip also features a young Peter Lawford and screen veterans Donald Crisp and Nigel Bruce. The film is a direct sequel to LASSIE, COME HOME. The male collie actor Pal played both Lassie and her son Laddie. The film is available, along with three other Lassie movies, on a Greatest Classic Films Collection DVD from Turner Entertainment and Warner Bros.
