FULLY INVOLVED STRUCTURE FIRE Lakewood New Jersey 5/2/24

Ocean County - Lakewood - Working Structure Fire - Fully Involved - 402 Picardy Ct. Just around 3:15 PM Lakewood Police dispatched a reported working structure fire in Leisure Village in off Route 70. The first due officer and engine on scene reported heavy fire middle of the row-unit. Shortly after they laid in sum 400ft and stretched a 1.3/4 line for interior attack on the advanced fire. Shortly after Chief One pilled everyone out due to the heavy fire conditions above and rapidly spreading due to the heavy fire load and wind. Defensive mode was used and Ladder Five started flowing the ladder pipe and quickly knocking down the fire that had extended to all of the units. Units from Toms River, Brick Township, and Jackson Township all responded to this fire and or covered the town. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
