Russian servicemen employ Mine Clearance from Air method in border area of Kursk region The servicemen of the Sever Group of Forces use UAVs to demine territories from AFU unexploded shells in the Kursk region border area. They deploy reconnaissance UAVs which detect at low altitudes AFU traps, unexploded shells, and explosive items. Mine clearance is performed in the shortest time possible. The personnel stays at a safe distance. The method of mine clearance from the air became relevant due to the fact that modern mines are outfitted with seismic and laser sensors, which do not allow an EOD specialist to come close.
