AH-64D Apache Pre-Flight Maintenance

U.S. Pilots and Armament/Electrical/Avionic Systems Repairer (15Y) Soldiers prepare an AH-64D Apache Longbow helicopter at Grafenwoehr Training Area, Germany, before the aircraft departs for exercises as part of the unit’s annual training. The 15Ys are primarily responsible for the maintenance of AH-64 helicopters. With hundreds of missions depending on these helicopters, they must ensure that all of them are safe and ready to fly.
