A FUNK REMIX of Bridge Over Troubled Water by Scary Pockets. A “FUNK REMIX“ uses funk instrumentation and timbres but relies on EDM form for song structure. Thus, a funk remix will have a verse, breakdown, build, drop, and other functional structures of EDM, but the musicians play traditional instruments to perform the composition. OVERDUB DISCLAIMER: Hey guys, we want to be super transparent so that you’re always sure the pocket is REAL. We realized while mixing this song that the distortion on the guitar recorded during the session was causing the choruses not to funk so we re-recorded the choruses with a clean sound.
