Expressing that they are happy to announce the eighth update of Debian 11, the project stated that this point version mainly adds fixes for security problems, as well as a few adjustments for serious problems. While it is stated that security recommendations have already been published separately and should be referenced whenever possible, it is stated that this point version does not create a new version of Debian 12, but only updates some of the packages it contains. It is stated that the new installation patterns will soon be available in regular locations, but those who constantly update their systems do not need these patterns.
