Story line: “ My 1984 Ford Econoline van was very reliable and comfortable for long trips. One day, about 20 years ago, I had a long trip for work. It was a small expedition to the northern region. The destination was the small provincial town of Vallahu, which was very close to the Arctic Circle. The distance from my home to Vallahu was about 2,000 miles, which was quite a lot. My old Ford has never let me down and this time was no exception. Before the trip, I loaded all the necessary things into the car, including a mattress, blankets, pillows, and more. I also took my kitty Lussy with me, as I could not leave her at home alone. I knew that not everywhere it would be possible to stay overnight in a motel, so I was ready for the fact that sometimes I would have to sleep in the car. So it was, my first night on this trip I remember the most. I drove up to the border of a neighboring state, it was already getting dark, and there was a small snowball, which intensified every minute. I stopped at a special car park, which was a very picturesque place. It was decided that this night I would spend the night here, since there were no motels nearby, and the snow was only getting worse. I also had heaters in the car, with which I heated up food and made myself tea. After dinner, I lay down under the covers and enjoyed the beautiful view from the car window. Mountains and a pine forest could be seen in the distance. Flakes of snow swept past the window at great speed, the sounds of a blizzard relaxed me, and created a feeling of comfort and safety. Lucy and I were in a comfortable and reliable car. The cabin was warm, as an independent diesel heater was installed. Lucy slept sweetly on a blanket, she sometimes purred, apparently she was very happy here. I finished my tea, read a book for a while, and then fell asleep myself without noticing. This cozy moment and the wonderful atmosphere of winter outside the window made my sleep strong and sweet.
