The setting for this theatrical performance is Bartholomew Fair and Miss Evelyn Laye plays Nell Gwynne. She dances in a circle of dancers dressed in 17th Century costume at the London Pavilion Theatre. They dance a Minuet. The chorus tiptoe around because they are scared of “Bogeys“. Three men with large masks on sticks come on to the stage and scare the chorus. An enormous mirror has been constructed on stage through which various women appear. “Trini“ the famous Spanish Beauty emerges from “The Mirror of the Fayre“ as does a woman in an exotic beaded costume. A Spanish Flamenco is danced (short sequence). Then a “Jockey dance“ - a man in a Jockey's outfit dances with a ballerina. Some of the female cast are dressed as Jockeys too. The man jumps through a hoop of paper. They also dance the “Pony Trot“. Chorus girls dance like ponies. Was probably an item in Eve's Film Review issue 24.
