John Mellencamp plays his song “Hurts So Good“ live in concert at the Golden Gate Theatre in San Francisco, California on March 17, 2023. Hurts So Good appeared on Mellencamp's fifth studio album, American Fool (1982), released under the stage name John Cougar. The song reached Number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and won a Grammy for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance. Mellencamp had not played the song live for 25 years before this current tour. John Mellencamp is a Grammy Award winning singer-songwriter from Seymour, Indiana.
