1984 South Korea. Ruggiero Ricci at his best, playing two difficult encores made easy! Ernst “Last Rose of Summer“ & Tarrega/Ricci “Recuerdos de la Alhambra“...dare I say, no one plays them like Ricci. I would have to compare him to a Guarneri “del Gesu“ as an analogy! There's a degree of artistic freedom & abandon in his playing that I cannot find in any other violinist. He is one of only a handful of great masters! Please 've had the great fortune to get to know this wonderful human being who is generous with his vast knowledge of the violin. Special thanks goes to his wife Julia who has been so helpful in finding these lost treasures among his archive of private videos.
