Navy Investigating Leaked Footage of F-35C Lightning II Ramp Strike

The Navy is investigating the unauthorized release of a video showing an F-35C Lightning II ramp attack aboard the USS Carl Vinson (CVN-70). An investigation into the crash is ongoing, Video shows the ramp attack and high-speed plane hurtling across the carrier deck before the F-35C crashes into the sea. The F-35C's crash landing occurred on January 24, while it was carrying out routine flight operations, the Navy said in a press release. The pilot managed to eject safely and is in stable condition after recovering. Seven other sailors were injured, with all in stable condition the day after the accident, Pentagon Press Secretary John Kirby also confirmed the leaked footage during Monday's press conference. “What I do know is that the Navy is not only investigating, of course, the cause of the crash itself, but they are also investigating the release of this video deck… and I won't be continuing their investigation, but I know they're looking into what appears to be a video leak
