Anonymous groups dropped flyers and banners in the rotunda of the Mall of America in Minnesota on Black Friday around 8 a.m. demanding targeted boycotts of brands complicit with Israeli apartheid and the military occupation of Palestine. The materials invoked the Boycott Divestment & Sanctions (BDS) movement launched by Palestinians in 2005 to pressure companies and governments around the world that support and profit from the violation of Palestinians' rights. The banners were removed by security personnel. Some of the flyers had red paint on them, symbolizing blood and the deaths in the current Israeli violence in Gaza.
