For our fourth release, we decided to step back a little from the classic instruments and explore a new area. Venta EM-17 is rare instrument with only about 500 items produced in total in the early 1990s. With only a handful of them still in a good condition, we managed to get our hands on one of them. During the working process our goal was not simply to copy the original sound into the digital world, but rather to augment it with our own vision of the times in which it was produced. The sound of our REKA is super mysterious and as if frozen in time. Recording with a Tesla channel strip that was made in Czechoslovakia, a Mosfet compressor from 1981 and a lot of other vintage tube gear, with the final shaping done by the Studer tape mastering recorder, we obtained a version of Venta EM-17 with very warm and natural sound. We are also very glad that REKA has become our first instrument with Native Apple Silicon (M1) and MPE support. The appearance of the plugin was inspired by the design of the instrument itself and by the Lithuanian river Venta. Check out more information on our website - FEAUTURES: - 1 articulation in 3 versions - clear sound and two audio lines from MN-61 wire recorder (can be used for stereo sound) - Custom tape designed and eurorack style sound design patches - The whole library was recorded via the Studer tape recorder, very rare MN-61 wire audio recorder, old tube and transistors preamps, compressors and equalizers - Space and Echo were captured from the tape echo, guitar pedals and some weird and cool studio reverb unit - the X slider: all its sounds are based on the original Venta sounds. To create it, we used wire and cassette tapes, some granular eurorack modules, only soviet guitar pedals and other analog equipment - Minimalistic interface inspired by nature - A lot of individuality and textures - 5 RR per note - Up to 4 velocity per note - Native Apple Silicon (M1) and MPE support - VST3/AU plugin for macOS ( ) and Windows - All samples recorded at 96 kHz. Distributed at 48 kHz - NOT compatible with Pro Tools and any other DAWs that do not support VST3/AU formats. - 856 MB compressed - GB uncompressed
