Corrine Baker, a former Tyrone Township resident, is sentenced to 13-30 years in prison for second-degree murder and child abuse for not doing enough to protect her son, Dominick Calhoun, 4. The child was fatally beaten by Baker's live-in boyfriend, Brandon Hayes, who was sentenced Monday, Feb. 27, 2012, to life in prison for murder. Hayes also beat Baker who tried to shield her son from the blows. However, authorities say she did not do enough because she did not seek help for her son despite numerous opportunities to do so that fatal weekend in April 2010. For more on this story, see .
