This year, we are collaborating closely with our public safety partners and encouraging all residents to celebrate by attending a professional fireworks show. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department has ZERO tolerance for the use and selling of illegal fireworks in the County of Los Angeles. We are taking a proactive approach to curtail the use of illegal fireworks through various enforcement methods. Special Assignment Teams have been deployed to enforce illegal fireworks regulations leading up to the 4th of July and the weeks following the holiday. Additionally, I want to remind everyone that “ALL FIREWORKS” are strictly prohibited in the unincorporated communities within Los Angeles County. I strongly encourage residents to anonymously report the illegal sale and use of fireworks by calling your local Sheriff’s Station.
