A drum kit made my RMIF (Riga Musical Instrument Factory) in the late 80s or early 90s, so either in the Soviet Union or in independent Latvia. Nice Baltic birch shells, ugly and poorly applied wrap, and hardware made from an aluminum alloy including triple flange rims on the kick, and a kick pedal which latches onto such rims. It can also be used with any normal floor tom to turn it into a miniature kick. And concert toms. No matching snare (we used a Szpaderski snare for this video), but matching stands, and two sizzle cymbals of unknown origin and age, which we got with the kit. RMIF also made various other instruments including drum machines, and the EPOIMI factory in Riga made somewhat similar drums, with the same style of rims on the kick drums, but not quite identical. Drogomir Smolken talks about the drums, then Michał Węglowski plays them.
