Security Council watches helplessly as Middle East slides into the abyss of war - Vassily Nebenzya (Russian Permanent Representative to the UN) Russia’s UN Permanent Representative condemned Israel’s actions: “Israel’s inhuman war continues despite the demands of the overwhelming part of the international community to stop it.“ Nebenzya also added that the US plays along with Israel in everything, paralysing the work of the Security Council. ▪️ Earlier in the meeting, António Gutterish also condemned Israeli aggression, adding that over 1,700 people had been killed in Lebanon (video 2).
