Sommarpsalm - Words by Carl David af Wirsén. Music by Waldemar Åhlén. Performance by Ringmasters & friends: -Tenor/Bass Ringmasters -Soprano Sofia Niklasson -Soprano Eleonora Poignant -Alto Linnea Bergstam -Alto Anna Sifvert -Video and Sound Mats Helgesson Recorded in Sundbyberg church, summer 2024. Here is the first video of six that we are uploading from our latest recording session. The song is from our childhood and was always sung at the ceremony before all the students went on summer break. Today it brings back those good memories of having an ocean of summertime ahead of you. More good stuff to come. Hope you are all having a sweet summer so far. Lyrics: The earth adorned in verdant robe sends praises upward surging, while soft winds breathe on fragrant flowers from winter now emerging. The sunshine bright gives warmth and light to budding blossoms tender, proclaiming summer splendour. From out the wood, the birds now sing and each its song now raises, to join with all the universe in voicing thankful praises. With hope and joy their songs employ a rapturous exultation in praise of God’s creation. O God, amid these joys of life, creation's glory beaming, grant us the grace to keep your word and live in love redeeming. All flesh is grass, the flowers fade, and time is fleeting ever; God’s word remains forever. Follow us on instagram: Support future content and get early access at:
