Massimiliano “Max“ Papis is the first driver to take to the track during the second qualifying session for the 1995 Italian Grand Prix. Having failed to set a time on Friday due to gearbox trouble, Papis got down to a 1'' for 15th place on the grid in front of his home fans in this session. His Footwork-Hart registered an impressive 200.9 mph through the speed trap despite the theoretical disadvantage of his Hart engine's V8 configuration, level with Damon Hill and Johnny Herbert's V10 Renault-power
