DW News Опубликовано: 8 авг. 2019 г. Thousands of migrants are crossing the Mediterranean from North Africa to Italy every year, headed for an uncertain future in the European Union. It's a journey fraught with danger, but one that thousands of refugees are willing to make. Most refugees and migrants entering the EU end up in Spain or Greece. But Italy hits the headlines most often, because of its hardline approach to unofficial rescue missions. New legislation passed this week threatens captains of rescue vessels with fines of up to one million Euros if they enter Italian ports without permission. The government also wants other EU countries to take in more of the refugees and migrants landing in Italy.
