“This is Ian Stewart's one speed bomber from the 70's. The dust on the bike is from Repack is one of the nicest of the Larkspur bikes there were. A true Canyon Gang Bomber ridden by one of the HOF Pioneers - Ian Stewart. Ian has left us but his bike lives on. Every nut and bolt on this bike is an example of the Bomber philosophy, each part sought out and put on this bike by Ian, back in the day. From the grips, bars, stem on through the bike, this one is perfect and represents Larkspur well. There are no changes made to the bike, it's a complete survivor. The seat hasn't been raised or lowered since the 70's. Laguna fork, steel drop center front rim, 105 gauge spokes. Bendix HD front hub with 3/8“ axle. Uniroyal Knobbies in great shape! Recovered Persons saddle and AS binder bolt. Heart and star ring, inch pinch chain, varsity cranks and KKT pedals. Rear S2 rim, Morrow hub and 105g spokes - matching HD spokes and nipples front and rear, this was a purpose built downhill machine. The post war Schwinn straight bar frame was popular with the Bomber guys. The forward slotted dropouts made working with the skip tooth chain easier. The bike had a slightly steeper head angle, shorter wheelbase and lower BB. One of the favorite trails near the end of a Larkspur 'run' was S Trail. Can you say slalom? The lower BB also favored guys that weren't so tall and this again favored maneuverability. THIS IS A WOCUS BIKE!!! ONE OF THE ORIGINAL PRIZES FROM THE MOTHER OF ALL STASHES!!!” -Alan Bonds
