Dark Souls 2 Lore - Tseldora and the Duke’s Dear Freja *Addendum* Something I forgot to mention is that the top bonfire is the “Royal Army Campsite“. I believe it’s possible Vendrick sent his men to deal with the infestation and they eventually failed. I also think both soldiers and peasants resided here.
