Team Silent has officially named many works of literature, art and film that have influenced them when writing Silent Hill 2. The 1972 movie Solaris by Andrei Tarkowski, which is based on the novel by Stanislaw Lem has never been formally acknowledged as an influence, though. In this video, I'll show you why it's almost strikingly obvious how this fantastic piece of cinematic art has served as a backbone for Silent Hill 2's very personal, emotional plot and how it delves into funamental questions of existentialism. ___ Thanks for watching Monsters of the Week (Special), a RagnarRox show.
