I couldn't decide, so bought all three and made this video. Modular is pretty great at plucky stuff. Plaits has an internal decay envelope, as does Basimilus. Maths can create some great ASR envelopes and does percussive, again plucky things very well thanks to the exponential curve. For melodic lines, pads, drones, anything that doesn’t go pluck… I needed an ADSR. Knowing Eurorack, there’s bound to be something out there that does what I think I want. And then some.
