We start by understanding the historical division between North and South Yemen. We also ask her about the success of the NLF and how South Yemen became a rare socialist outpost in the Arab World. We discussed some of the achievements of socialist Yemen, and some of its limitations. We asked her to explain the unification of Yemen in 1990 and its economic implications for the region. We then discuss the origin of the Houthi movement in the 1990s and the Houthi wars between 2004 and 2010. She also tells us about the events between 2011 when the protests started in Yemen as part of the Arab Spring, and 2015, when the civil war began. We have discussed the civil war, the role of regional and international players, and the future of peace talks. Finally, we ended by discussing the support that the Houthis have extended to Palestinians. ๐ด๐ด๐ด Follow us on Twitter: Instagram ๐ด๐ด๐ด We are also looking for sponsorships or small donations.
