As many folks pointed out in the first video ( ) I fixed the wall but didn't fix the leak. I need to re-install the door, and redesign the porch, but since it's so cold and snowy outside I decided to build an awning. It will decrease the rain exposure on the door, and I can do most of the construction indoors. This awning is build out of off the shelf Douglas fir 4x4 post, and uses some basic timber frame techniques to assemble it. It's a great DIY project. Plans for this build are in the works!
