A Variation on the Running Stitch and Introducing Blanket Stitch

There's a circular theme to the journal this week. Practice in keeping the stitches regular and then whip them around to change the look of it altogether! It's one of my favourite variations of the simple running stitch. Also introducing the blanket stitch too. Nowadays more often seen as a decorative stitch , this started out as an edge finishing stitch for wool blankets. Either way it is a lovely stitch to learn. And once you have the basic idea it can be adapted to lots of different effects. I'm adding a note here to say I only just realised I had paint on my cheek when I watched this back when I was uploading!
