How to paste clip on the right track in Premiere Pro

If you are using Premiere Pro version 22.5 or newer, you might have tried to paste a clip on a selected track without success. There is a very simple solution to this and to fix this, you need to open up the “Keyboard Shortcuts“ window. On PC: Ctrl Alt K On Mac: Opt Cmd K Now, if you search for “Paste“ and scroll down, you have some new commands there, added by Adobe. In one of their updates, they changed the “Cmd V“-shortcut (or “Ctrl V“ on PC) to activate the command “Paste to Same Track“ by default, so if you want to change it back to how it was before, just click next to “Paste to Target Track“ and click “Cmd V“ or “Ctrl V“ to overwrite it and then click OK.
