My take on Yamaha's 1986 flagship drum machine. The '80s decade is a fascinating period in a music tech history. Devices like Yamaha RX5 and Roland R8 have quite advanced sound editing capabilities, omitted in later generations of digital drum machines. For instance, the 1990´s Alesis SR16, (still on sale to this very day!) lost almost all sound editing capabilities of its predecessors in favor of a high-quality generic sample set.
