In this tutorial you will learn how to create a simple yet nice looking studio lighting setup for V-Ray to use for example in product rendering. We will discover the basics, have a detailled walkthrough of the example scene and talk about things that you should avoid. I will show you my preferred way of setting up a nice, versatile studio lighting setup. We will go through the basics of HDRI's, how to use them to affect the lighting of your scene and how to apply ToneMapping in the V-Ray Virtual Framebuffer in order to make your rendering look more pleasing and realistic. In Part 2 you will learn about further render optimizations to speed up the rendering of this setup. We will also discuss how to add additional lights and how to setup this studio lighting as your 3ds Max default scene. I am using 3ds Max and V-Ray 5 in this demo but you can also use the same techniques for older versions such as V-Ray NEXT and V-Ray 3. Chapters: 00:00 - Introduction 00:23 - The Wrong Way
