Reuleaux Triangular FOV: Traditionally all cone beam CT machines produce either a spherical or cylindrical CT volume with a circular axial cross section. For dental imaging a circular cross section is sufficient up to 80mm diameter depending on the anatomy desired for inclusion. However an 80mm diameter cylindrical FOV will exclude some of the posterior dentition and neighboring anatomy that may be required for certain full arch examinations.
