This is an action packed video of making and fishing a carbon fibre top water submarine prop bait. Carbon fibre is one of those modern wonder materials which we all take for granted as most fishing rods are made of it these days. I thought I would go a little further and use a small offcut of carbon fibre tube and a bit 3d printing to make a fishing lure that I could use as topwater or with the rod tip held down, take it for a shallow dive just below the surface. Creating complex shapes in carbon fibre can be challenging, so as a bit of a cheat I designed everything but the tube in fusion 360, a computer aided design program and used a basic resn 3d printed to print the parts.
