Airblast detection uses a 256x256x256 cube, not a cone Projectiles and players touching the cube will be airblasted. The cube does not rotate with the pyro, so projectiles and players can be reflected from behind at certain angles. Before Jungle Inferno, a 256x256x128 box was used, which is half as tall. In addition, players had to be within a ~37 degree cone that does rotate with the pyro, so players couldn’t be airblasted from behind. Here are videos by sigsegv with more explanation: box: cone: If you’ve noticed that the force of the airblast seems a lot weaker in this video, it’s because Jungle Inferno’s new cray airblast mechanics is not in use in this video. Here’s a video by TMP that explains those mechanics instead: 0:00 Pre-Jungle Inferno Update 2:34 Post-Jungle Inferno Update
