We're basically giving birth to some particles along the surface of the cube, then telling them to turn into a mesh based on a property test set to “neighbors“. By using the Particle Groups operator, we only activate neighbors in a specific simulation group. tyMesher is then applied to the activated particles & some simple Vray materials and lighting is added for a final “virus growth“ style visual effect.
