Harrison Ford, born on July 13, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois, is an American actor and film producer. He is best known for his iconic roles in several blockbuster films, including Han Solo in the “Star Wars“ franchise and Indiana Jones in the Indiana Jones series. Growing up, Ford developed an interest in acting and performing. He attended Maine East High School in Park Ridge, Illinois, where he participated in school theater productions. After graduating in 1960, Ford went on to study English and philosophy at Ripon College in Wisconsin. In the mid-1960s, Ford relocated to Los Angeles, seeking opportunities in the film industry. He began taking acting classes and secured his first professional acting job as a contract player with Columbia Pictures. However, his early film roles were mostly minor and uncredited.
