Bravo! Franco Fagioli countertenor “Ah, Quel Giorno..“ Arsace (cavatina) and sung complete Semiramide by Rossini composer. -(..sorry my english)- The first countertenor in doing so!, first man to interpret on stage the role of the commander Arsace, of the Assyrian army, in this monumental opera of the great Rossini, in the time of the Italian Bel Canto. Congratulations.. Would say that it is historical interpretation. Fagioli is the first countertenor who plays this in the complete opera. And from my point of view Franco you run it good and quite interesting, a man singer with an incredible technical singing, musicality and capacity. And not a transvestite great singer ladies makes this role, as it is the case, for nearly 2 centuries when it was originally conceive by Rossini.. -ARSACE Commander of the Assyrian army was the role of the contralto singer Rose Mariani at the premiere of the opera in 1823.
