Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has announced a temporary suspension of the right to asylum as part of a new strategy to address irregular migration. In a speech in Warsaw, Tusk explained that human traffickers, allegedly aided by Belarus and Russia, were exploiting asylum laws. The decision comes amid rising tensions on Poland's border, where thousands of migrants from the Middle East, Africa, and Asia have attempted illegal crossings since 2021.
