Tour of the Amerigo Vespucci Offers a Glimpse into Italian Maritime Heritage at Port of Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES – On Sunday, July 7, 2024, Santa Monica Closeup took a tour of the majestic Italian Navy tall ship Amerigo Vespucci at the Port of Los Angeles. The vessel, a historic sailing ship and training vessel for the Italian Navy, has been docked at Berth 46 in the Outer Harbor since July 3 and will remain until July 8. Visitors to the ship enjoyed free public tours, immersing themselves in the rich maritime history and intricate craftsmanship of the Amerigo Vespucci.
