The Irish Government has reached an arrangement with Apple that includes very low corporate tax (less than 1%). The European Commission recently ruled that this low tax rate violates EU law and instructed Ireland to charge 13 billion euro in tax (with interest) from Apple. Both Apple and the Irish government announced their intention to appeal the decision. The motion is “THR the ruling by the European Commission“.
