Getting Ready for Java 17

This month’s IntelliJ IDEA live stream combines a hands-on demonstration with insights from experts. In the stream portion of the session, you’ll discover how IntelliJ IDEA can help you find and use the latest features in Java 17. Following the demonstration, Nicolai Parlog, Developer Advocate for Oracle, will highlight the Java 17 features that should be particularly interesting for developers. He will also touch upon some major do’s and don’ts of this language version. Tagir Valeev, Technical Lead for Java Support in IntelliJ IDEA, will share how JetBrains collaborates with Oracle – not just with respect to using the language features and implementing them in IntelliJ IDEA, but also regarding how the teams passionately work together on the evolution of the Java language. Additionally, he’ll talk about how the IntelliJ IDEA team ensures developers are able to use new features as soon as they are available.
