Hottest UK day in March since 1968 as Brits flock to the coast in 24C scorching weather

BRITS on Tuesday basked in another day of scorching sunshine, in what looks set to become the hottest March since 1968. Temperatures have already risen above 20C in many places, with highs of 24C expected in the south east. The mini heatwave will see parts of Britain getting hotter than Ibiza over the next couple of days - before a chilly spell returns over the Easter weekend.
